How is digital marketing expanding in the Middle East?

It seems like Digital Marketing is taking over big time. Social Media is the way to go as it provides endless opportunities to stay in tune with different businesses, key demographics, and directly involved with your prospects that may turn into long term customers. The internet has provided a lot more ways recently for businesses to monetize, and social media has flooded the gates in this endeavor! Even across places in the middle east, growth in digital marketing drastically expands yearly and provides a new marketplace for business owners!

In the Middle Eastern world, not only are natural resources (oil) well sought after entities, technology is expanding quite well and digital marketing is starting to become a forerunner for the internet business! Twitter is one of those places that has received a huge growth in their users over the past couple of years. In 2011 alone, the number of Twitter users in the United Arab Emirates jumped up to the 5.5 million mark. That’s quite a growth since the number of Twitter users in 2010 did not even reach 50,000.

Why is internet marketing in the Middle East expanding so much? Well, like any business if something takes off and it works, why not? With more businesses in need of great SEO, going into a more social media route is the right way to do it!
