Ok, ok. We’ve all seen these Google Panda updates. But now, they’ve made a most drastic change, and there’s an OFFICIAL name to it. What may that be you ask? Well, it’s called ‘Most Radical Transformation Ever’. That’s pretty crazy, right? Well, let me get into the meat of what this is all about. Remember, on a certain blog post how I was talking about how Social Media is really going to be the focal point of 2012. Well, Google is doing just that..trying to become more of a Social Media network through it’s search engine.
The Google Blog gives a brief description of what it’s talking about:
“1.) Personal Results, which enable you to find information just for you, such as Google+ photos and posts—both your own and those shared specifically with you, that only you will be able to see on your results page;
2.)Profiles in Search, both in autocomplete and results, which enable you to immediately find people you’re close to or might be interested in following; and,
3.) People and Pages, which help you find people profiles and Google+ pages related to a specific topic or area of interest, and enable you to follow them with just a few clicks. Because behind most every query is a community.”
I’m not going to break it down too far, but get the gist of it. For more information, you can check out the Google Blog. Check out the visual aid for details below:
